Why are we out here on a Saturday morning?

 

Many people ask why we are doing this for nothing. After all, nothing is free - or is it?

 

Well, in this case, it is - mostly anyway. We only ask you to pay for any parts you have fitted to your bike that we have had to pay for ourselves.

 

OK, so it's not completely free but that still doesn't answer the question as to why we do it for nothing...

 

We would answer that it is:

our contribution to saving the Planet

encouraging the use of sustainable transport helping to improve personal fitness

cutting down traffic congestion by leaving the car at home

making use of abandoned - but perfectly useful - bikes

or just that we are nice people who simply have nothing better to do on a Saturday morning (yeah, right!)

 

We don't have a shop and we are not full-time cycle mechanics. We run this free service only on a Saturday morning and we don't [usually] do house calls.
